In the early stages of each project, we establish communication protocols and use sub-contractor, architect and owner feedback to develop our approach to the project. Detailed schedules, budgets and safety plans are developed with input from all project stakeholders

Safety Is the Top Priority

Safety is the guiding principle of our business. Your Haren team makes a commitment to the safety of each person involved in every project. Subcontractor Selection

Our selection process begins with an open request for subcontractors that would like to bid the project. When then develop a “short list” of qualified contractors from each trade. This list consists of interested subcontractors, owner and architect recommendations, and recommended trade providers. Bids received from these trades are reviewed for accuracy, completeness, qualifications, and competitiveness. Final bids may be subject to owner review, so the most competitive and qualified subcontractors will be awarded the contract.

Haren has a deep reach into the subcontractor community. As part of our continual efforts to maintain and develop additional relationships within the subcontractor community, we discuss various aspects of their business related to labor availability, cost and inflation trends, and material lead times. Our internal subcontractor qualification forms allow us to discern a lot of this valuable information and utilize it in a way to project future cost impacts.

Schedule Management

Every project has a deadline, and finishing your project on time is in everyone’s best interest. Your Haren team employs a variety of time tested scheduling tecniques to ensure that the unique needs, and critical timelines of the schedule are met.

Your Haren team provides:

  • Three-week look ahead schedules prepared by the Superintendent weekly.
  • Pull Planning meetings with ALL trade partners to establish critical path activities and identify long-lead materials.
  • Schedules updated in ProCore, Microsoft Excel, and Pheonix.
  • Impacts from weather, deliveries, and unforeseen conditions that may affect the schedule will be reexamined weekly.
  • The Superintendent will hold weekly foremen meetings to coordinate the schedule and any delays. Resequencing will be conducted to minimize delays to the overall schedule.
  • The project team reviews and manages the schedule daily.
  • Your Haren team will update the Master Schedule regularly and publish it to the Owner and Design team.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control Programs

  • Clean job site requirements to ensure quality work and safety.
  • Addressing issues as they arise, and not wait until the end of the project.

Your project will be monitored each day by a full-time, on-site superintendent during every stage of the construction process. Our project managers are educated professionals with construction science degrees. For each project, we hand-select the right project manager based on skillset and experience because we know the right fit is essential to a successful project. You can expect our project managers to be accessible to you for the duration of the project.
