Located in downtown Independence, Missouri, the Second Baptist Church has been a congregation since 1862. The renovation of the historic church building included a gutting/remodeling of the entire sanctuary and the addition of a baptismal font. A large vestibule was added to the east side of the building to enclose the handicap accessible ramp to protect the patrons from the weather. Also included in the remodel was the addition of three classrooms.
