Haren Companies completed the construction of Fire Station #16 for the Kansas City Kansas Fire Department. This project is notable for its specialized training mezzanine equipped with advanced anchoring systems, designed to support the department’s rigorous training programs.
The station features four bays for emergency vehicles, 12 bunk rooms for personnel, and a fitness center to support their health, and an outdoor patio to encourage outdoor activities. Given the challenging steep site conditions, the project required importing 6,000 yards of fill, showcasing Haren’s capability to tackle complex engineering challenges.
Upon completion, Haren Companies delivered on-site operational training for the fire department staff on all major building systems, ensuring the station operates at peak efficiency from day one.
