Haren Companies is currently working with Molzer Development onthe historic renovation of the Alladin Hotel. Originally built in 1925 the former 193 room hotel will be converted into market rate apartments.The 16-storybuilding will utilize the city’ssteam and chilled water system for heating and coolingthe apartment units. The project will also feature and bar and resident amenity space on the 16thfloor.Historic preservation measures include restoration of the decorative plaster on the barrel-vaultedceiling of the 16thfloor and restoration of the terrazzo flooring on the 16thfloor ballroom.In the first-floor lobby the historic marble floors, wainscot and columns were restored. Additionally, the Haren team installed new windows throughout the building. The tight urban jobsite requires careful planning to coordinate parking, material delivery, and trash removal.
