The restoration of East 9 at Pickwick Plaza utilizes the former Pickwick Plaza Hotel. Originally built in 1930 the Pickwick has a lengthy history, including one of Harry Truman’s frequent stops and is also the opening scene In Cold Blood. East 9 at Pickwick Plaza consists of 260 units and 32,000 square feet of retail space. All of the windows have been restored and installed. The columns with a plaster design have been recreated by making silicon molds. The units range in size from 350 square feet to 1,008 square feet. Each unit is spectacular and has modern finishes, carpeted bedrooms, and endless amenities. This historical renovation in downtown Kansas City includes a saltwater pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, social space, and 300 parking spaces in a newly restored parking garage.
